Welcome to Beech class. We are taught by Miss McLaughlin, Mrs Joyce (Wednesday), Mr Tordoff and Mrs King
Our PE days are Wednesday and Friday. Please bring your PE kit to school on these days.
Reading books are changed every Friday. Please bring bookbags to school and make sure reading records are signed at least 3 times per week.
Homework is set every Monday and returned the following Monday. Please also use TT Rockstars to practise times tables. Login details are in the front of your child's reading record.
Homework Expectations:
Thank you for all your effort in supporting children’s homework- it makes such a difference! Children in Years 3 and 4 should be spending 20 minutes a night on their homework.
Reading Please use the time children are reading with you to ask them questions about the text- this helps their understanding and is so important! Children are expected to read every day for 10 minutes and have this recorded in their reading record. Reading books are changed every Friday.
Times tables The children should be familiar with 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10 times tables and we are continuing to work on the 4 and 8 times tables. Children have a login for TT Rockstars to help them practise. Please support your child in doing this at least 3 times per week.
Spellings will be given out each Monday. Children will be expected to use spelling shed to practice spellings at home. They will have a weekly spelling test the following Monday.
