16th July: Today some members from Otley Chamber Orchestra performed a repertoire of music from classical composers and Disney films.
8th July: Multi-Sports morning at PHGS. We competed against Westgate Primary and St Joseph's Primary. Thank you Mrs Fenton-Green and the PHGS play leaders for organising such as wonderful event.
Sports Day 2019
28th June (Day 5): In the morning we made tasty toast with wholemeal bread, soft cheese, bananas and berries. We finished the day with the Race for Life. What an end to a fabulous week!
27th June: (Health Week Day 4) Today we watched a karate demonstration in assembly. We learned about playground games from other countries. In the afternoon we had a great time at PHGS on all the different activities.
26th June: (Health Week Day 3) The rivers and canal trust told us how to keep safe near water in assembly. We spent the morning trying achieve our personal best in field events.
25th June: (Health Week Day 2) Nicol and her mum gave a fencing demonstration in assembly. We had PE in the afternoon and cricket. Phew!
24th June (Day 1 of Health Week) Ronnie the Rhino did a wake up, shake up with us in assembly. We cleaned our teeth and watched the Tooth Defenders video. Georgie from SOMA yoga taught us some yoga poses and we finished the day eating some delicious bread baked by Bondgate Bakery.
13th June Wildlife Day: We were very lucky to have Neil Griffin from Otley Wildlife Group in school today to help us give the school grounds a makeover.
We had a great time on the playground equipment. Which was your favourite: the Logness Monster, the tunnel or the Craggle Top Tree House?
We collected lots of interesting things from the forest floor, played some musical instruments and read about some information about climate change.
We visited the fragrant kitchen garden and the hen hotel. We had time for a roley poley and a race down the grassy slope.
A peaceful walk around the arboretum with some opportunities for climbing trees!

7th June: We had a wonderful time at Harlow Carr Garden. A big thank you to our volunteers for all their help on the day.
4th June Design and Technology morning: We made a delicious dip with vegetable dippers. We cut up the vegetables safely and chose a flavour for our dips. A big thank you to Mrs Duncan for helping and to Waitrose Otley for donating the ingredients.
Love for Reading: Every Friday before Golden Time we get the blankets and cuddlies out and cosy down with a good book. Willow Class loves reading.

26th April: The Leeds folk band, MAIA, performed to us today. The music was great and some of us were chosen to perform with the band.
18th April: We have been reading 'The Tunnel' by Anthonyn Browne. The character Rose in the story faces a dilemma; should she go down the tunnel to find her brother or go home? We formed a conscience alley by the willow walk and offered Rose some advice.
