Community Club Links

Years 5 and 6 have been training after school for the upcoming Tag Rugby tournament. Rich came from Guiseley Rugby League Club to tell us all about training sessions, matches and showed us the super smart kit. Let's hope to inspire some superstars of the future!

Year 4 Balancing and Dodging

Rowan class have been improving their core stability so that they can balance better and move around obstacles safely. Some children have been really challenging themselves to build their strength and stamina. You can see excellent 'growth mindset' in action when the class learn from their mistakes and push themselves to their maximum ability.

Sports-hall Athletics Club

Sports-Hall Athletics Club has been running now for six weeks and what an improvement everyone has made! Our coach has worked really hard to give us steps to success and mega fun sessions. We have been improving our maths skills by logging results and learning scientific facts about the human body along the way. Not to mention getting a whole lot fitter. The North West Leeds competition in November will test our skills and fitness, come on Ashfield!

North Leeds Cross Country Competition

The first event of this year was the X-Country event down at Wharfemeadows Park. Ashfield took a strong team, particularly the Year Fours who have been training in their PE lessons. We achieved some high positions, but more importantly everyone completed their race with a smile. Well done to Nathan and Will who have qualified for the Youth Games!
