Early Years Homework Expectation

We ask that parents spend at least 10 minutes per day working on the following formal aspects of learning:

• Sharing books and stories
• Read Write Inc practice (phonics work)
• Number practice

Phonics in Nursery

We teach a daily phonics session in Nursery. The aim of this is to embed the fundamental skills that the children will need to develop strong phonological awareness in Reception and beyond. Further details can be found in the document here.
