Mindmate Ambassadors 2025
We have an amazing team of Y6 Mindmate Ambassadors at Ashfield and they are very excited to begin their new role in school. They have lots of ideas around supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing for our pupils. The role of a Mindmate Ambassador is to raise awareness of Mental Health and support pupils in school with strategies to look after their wellbeing. Our fantastic team of ambassadors successfully applied for the role and will be making a huge difference to our school. Well done everyone!
Maddie:
Hello, my name is Maddie. I wanted to be a Mindmate Ambassador because I want to help people as much as I can. These are some of my ideas:
Quiet club - if children need to calm down they can come to calm club, relax and maybe read a book and chat.
Colouring club - a calm place to colour.
Bayanda:
I applied to be a Mindmate Ambassador because I want to help other people and teach them what I have learned in the past year. I want to help people to not be sad. My ideas are:
Chatting area - a place to come and talk to us if you are sad.
Mindful colouring area in the playground.
Phoebe:
Hi! My name is Phoebe and the reason I wanted to become a Mindmate Ambassador is because I know Mental Health can really affect people and I want to help. I want to support people with anxiety, sadness or anything difficult and hopefully spread my hope across the entire world! If you have any ideas or worries, please come to us and we will listen and try to help.
Fatima:
Hi! My name is Fatima and I wanted to be a Mental Health Ambassador so I can help children. I want to do this because I don't want children to be sad or angry. I want children to be happy and help them to feel better. Some of my ideas:
Clubs - colouring, walking, reading and calm.
I want to help all the children so we can continue to be a happy school.
Samah:
Hi, my name is Samah. You might be interested to hear why I became a Mindmate Ambassador. It is because I want to make sure everybody has a fun and good time at Ashfield. I want to make sure everyone has a positive mindset.
Rosie:
Hello! I am Rosie and I wanted to become a Mindmate Ambassador because I think Mental Health is a big part of our lives and if you are feeling sad or upset it can affect your learning or your enjoyment. If you are feeling sad, tell a trusted adult or a Mindmate Ambassador - we can help.
My ideas: lunchtime club, reading club and a buddy bench.
Henry:
The reason I wanted to be a Mindmate Ambassador is because I know mental health can really affect people and I would hate anyone at Ashfield to be downcast. I tried hard to become a Mindmate Ambassador and to do what I love - making people happy.
