Please try and do as many activities as you can during the break. Bring in your learning logs during the first week of term. A copy has been sent with each child. A copy can be downloaded below.

Daily Homework:

5-10 mins Reading with an adult.

5 mins Spelling practice.

5-10 mins Times tables practice.


Friday: Swimming

The Iron Man

  • Create an Iron Man/Woman using only junk materials.
  • Write a description of your Iron Man/Woman in your learning log:-

What is he/she like?

What type of person?

Where/when was he/she created?

Who created him/her?

Why was he/she created?

How did he/she come into contact with humans?

What happened at the first encounter?

The sun was out... and we had been practicing our skills!

So we went to a cricket festival.

In Ancient Egypt some people were mummified.

We looked at Mr Patel and we got an idea! ...but we thought we ought to practice on an orange first!


Cut a slit in the skin and pull out the inside carefully!


After drying the inside, add spices to cover up the smell...


Fill it with salt and leave to dry out for a few weeks.

On a cold and very WET day, we went to Pizza Express to learn how to make a Margarita Pizza.


And the best bit was walking into the big fridge and freezer burrrrrrr!
