In-Year Admissions for 5-11 year olds are managed by school, in consultation with Leeds Admissions Team. If you are moving to Otley, give us a ring and check if we have spaces in the year group you are interested in or to arrange a visit. In September 2021 we have four spaces in Y6, 3 spaces in Y3 and five spaces in Year 2 . Year 5, Year 4, Year 1 and Reception are currently full. This however can change at short notice and occasionally children may be admitted to a class that is already full through the appeals process. There is an In-Year Common Preference form on the Leeds City Council Website if you do not have access to the internet please ask in school for an alternative form.

For places to start school in Reception, parents need to apply online or use the LEA preference form which is sent to your home address, by Children Leeds, early in the school year prior to their starting in Reception. This can also be done on-line by following the link at the bottom of this page. This process continues to be managed by Leeds Admissions Team.  Also included below is a map that shows the priority catchment area, and the distance on which places have previously been allocated.

Currently we have some places in our Nursery class. You can put your child on the waiting list at any time by ringing school  (01943 463341). If places are available, children may start Nursery the term after their third birthday. We offer up to 30 free hours of Nursery education subject to parents' eligibility, and parents may pay for additional hours on top of their free entitlement, subject to availability, at £4.38 per hour. Places and attendance patterns are offered in line with our Admissions policy. Parents can choose full or half days to make up their 15 or 30 hours. For children who stay over lunchtime, children are provided with a hot, 2 course meal cooked in our school kitchen, for which there is a charge of £2.05 per day.

If you would like to know anything more about getting a place for your child at Ashfield, please ring Joanne Staton or Carol Winder in the school office – (01943) 463341.

If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
