Writing

This term we will be using the book 'Blue John' by Berlie Doherty as inspiration for our writing. 

 

Reading
We will be delving into 'Anglo Saxon Boy' by Tony Bradman in our reading lessons. With a focus on broadening our vocabulary and practising retrieval, inference, summarising, explanation and prediction skills. 

Maths

We will continue to work on times tables as year 4 will be completing the Multiplication Check at the start of June. Year 4 will then continue to consolidate their times tables knowledge following this in preparation for year 5. 

In other areas of Maths, we will continue to develop our knowledge of decimals, time, money, shape, statistics and position and direction.

 

Trips

We are looking forward to our Dallowgill Moorland Trip on Monday 6th July
