On a crisp, cold day, we set out to warm ourselves up by making a fire in Forest Schools. It took a while to remember all the steps: collecting different sized twigs and sticks, laying the fire and finally lighting it with a firesteel, but eventually we did it. We then toasted marshmallows on toasting forks and had smoors - marshmallows between two chocolate digestive biscuits! Just the thing on a cold morning!
